Flute Zoo Book 2

Flute Zoo Books are a fun, colorful, and engaging way to learn the flute — designed with elementary-age students in mind, though older beginners and adults love them too! Each book is 32–40 pages long, so students quickly build a sense of accomplishment as they progress through the series.

About Flute Zoo Book 2

Book 2 begins with the notes C, B, A, G, and F in both octaves. By the end of this 32-page book, students will have mastered from low E through high G — giving them the ability to play many familiar melodies such as Happy Birthday and Mexican Hat Dance.

Many two-page spreads are theme-based to inspire musical expression. The opening jungle theme features pieces like Rounds of Tropical Rain, Treetop Slumbers, Perilous Pythons, Flying High, and the all-time favorite Jungle Clown. Each page is carefully sequenced to introduce new notes and concepts as smoothly as possible, with built-in review to ensure mastery.

The inside front cover includes a blank staff for note-naming games, and the final page features a certificate of accomplishment. Many songs have a second part available in the Flute Zoo Duet Book. Accompaniment tracks are available here or on YouTube.

The Flute Zoo Five-Note Fun Sticker Book is the essential companion for Books 2 and 3.

Flute Zoo vs. Blocki Flute Method Book 1

The content of Blocki Flute Method Book 1 covers the same ground as Flute Zoo Books 1, 2, and 3. The Flute Zoo series moves at a slightly slower pace with shorter books, giving younger students a frequent sense of accomplishment. After completing all four Flute Zoo books, students are ready to begin Blocki Flute Method Book 2.
