About the Di Zhao 301
The Di Zhao 301 is a silver-plated student flute with a C foot joint, offset G key, and closed hole keys. It comes complete with a case, case cover with shoulder strap, cleaning rod, and cleaning/polishing cloth. An optional curved head joint is also available for younger or smaller students.
A Note from Kathryn Blocki
Several years ago, Mr. Di Zhao asked me to try his new flutes. I was immediately impressed and purchased several for my students. I must say that I am incredibly picky when choosing flutes for my students. The DZ-301 has the best scale I have encountered on a beginning instrument — the notoriously sharp C# is much improved over other flutes, and the second line D is not flat! I believe this is due to his long history of building high-level professional flutes, and he has now brought those standards to beginning and step-up instruments.
Students love the full and vibrant sound in all octaves — even the lowest. After the National Flute Convention in NYC, it was clear that the new Di Zhao flutes were a huge hit. I only heard extremely positive comments on the various flute forums.
