About the Di Zhao 501
The DZ-501 features a silver-plated body with a solid silver head joint, B-foot, offset G, and open holes. It includes a case, case cover with shoulder strap, cleaning rod, and cleaning/polishing cloth.
The DZ-501 is an incredible step-up flute with the same sound of flutes that retail for more than twice the price. It differs from the DZ-401 by having a solid silver head joint — key to superior tone quality. Each head joint is hand-cut with undercuts and overcuts, making it easy to produce a full, singing sound. All pads are partially shimmed — a process usually reserved for professional flutes. Every flute is crafted for smooth key action, fast response, and excellent resonance. Master flute maker Di Zhao tests and adjusts each instrument the same way the top professional flutes in the U.S. are tested. All flutes are tuned to A-442.
