Di Zhao 500 Silver-plated Body with Solid Silver Head Joint, Pointed Arms, Open Hole, and B-foot

The DZ-500 is an incredible step-up flute, having the same sound of flutes that retail for more than twice the price. It differs from the DZ-300 by having a solid silver head joint (the DZ-300 has a silver plated head joint), and from the DZ 400 by having the pointed arms like a professional flute. Since the head joint is key to the tone quality of the flute, each head joint is hand-cut with undercuts and overcuts making it easy to produce a full and singing sound. All pads are partially shimmed-a process usually reserved for professional flutes. Every flute is made to achieve smooth key action, fast response, and excellent resonance. Master flute maker, Di Zhao tests and adjusts each instrument in the same manner that the top professional flutes in the U.S. are tested. All flutes are tuned to A-442 pitch.
