A Whimsical Sleigh Ride

I am director of the Davis Youth Flute Choir. The kids are accomplished high school students. They really enjoyed this piece. It was challenging yet accessible to learn within a few rehearsals. The sense of riding a sleigh is accomplished with the increasing tempo and the fun is depicted through variations that include a "music box" section. Jingle Bells quotes occur throughout. I thought of getting out my sleigh bells to accompany some of the piece!
